4. The dice settle at the base, the total is read, and any bet on that total, struck or not, pays out at its rate.

The lightning multiplier strike, up to 1000x

The strike happens before the dice drop, not after, so a player already knows which spots carry a multiplier before the result lands. Evolution states the multiplier on a struck spot can reach up to 1000x, applied only if that spot then wins on the drop. A bet that was not struck still pays its normal rate if it wins; the strike only adds to spots it lands on, it never subtracts from the rest of the grid.
